SERVO MOTORS
Servo motors are variable
position electrical motors which by design are complex
and the re-manufacturing process requires specialized
repair techniques.
Industrial servo motors
range in both size and type. For example, motors can
be constructed for either AC or DC power sources,
designed with a variety of base RPM and max RPM speeds.
DC motors typically have tachometer feedback control,
whereas AC motors will typically be coupled with an
encoder for precise control. They can be used to position
ball screws, as well as a variety of geared devices.
We have
expertise to repair all types and makes of motors.
We understand the rigid
specifications required for motors in the machine
tool industry. Combining these elements with modern
equipment for testing, balancing, winding, and cleaning
a motor, the
customer is guaranteed a quality job done right.

Our
Quality Procedure For Repair |
- Remove all shorts
to ground
- Every device is
tested both statically and dynamically to insure
proper operation.
- Reduce stray electrical
noise to the lowest possible level, if not eliminate
it completely
- Tested for vibration,
current draw, back EMF, torque, temperature rise,
shaft runout, keyway condition, balance, magnetic
field strength,acceleration rate, magnet position
& mechanical integrity, brush spring pressure,
correct brush compound, etc
- On low inertia motors,
test start/stop ramps to verify acceleration capabilities
- Run-in for 24 hours
(except for emergency expedites)
